Crofty Consultancy is a long-established environment, mining and property services practice. We have been in operation since 1988 (initially as Carnon Consultancy) and have gained a wealth of experience in dealing with the unique problems posed to land and property by Cornwall and Devon’s mining heritage. Mundic tests, mine searches, environmental risk assessments - we pride ourselves in assisting our clients in managing risks to land and property in the most efficient, cost-effective manner.

Crofty Consultancy and its associated companies within the Wheal Jane Group now provide a full range of services, covering all aspects of land contamination and ground stability from initial desk studies to full site investigation and remediation works.

The company’s origins, within the heart of the Cornish mining industry at Wheal Jane and South Crofty mines, have provided us with a unique and unrivalled base for the environmental, geotechnical and ground engineering services we offer, which include:

  • Mine search reports, using the most extensive privately-owned archive of mine plans and surveys in the south west, we have researched and reported on more than 25000 individual properties in the region
